Some of those ingredients I wonder how they can legally put them into our bodies... it was disturbing to me that one shot had MSG in it, especially with the widespread awareness of negative affects associated with it.
I am reminded once again why I will never use a vaccine needlessly for myself or my children, and especially for something as manageable as the flu.
Haven't had time to read the links yet but I am very allergic to MSG and wouldn't/couldn't have anything injected into with it. And why do they need MSG in there anyway?? It's a flavour enhancer for crying out loud!! The only reason why I could possibly see it being used is for a preservative, but there are multitudes of other things they could use for the same purpose.
I watched a show last night about the flu of 1916 (or 1918??) and it's similarities to the Avian Flu. The way these strains attack (lower in the lungs then regular flu) is much more deadly. IF this kind of strain ever mutates enough to allow for human to human transmission (it can only go from bird to human right now) then I would seriously consider getting a shot. But for regular flu, no.
My sister was seeing a doctor specializing in natural medicine. She has ADHD, and he attributed virtually all of her symptoms to foods, especially preservatives like MSG which has a strong impact on the mind, it makes people crazy! The fact that there is so much of it in cheap foods nowadays only further illistrates the rising rates in cases of ADHD and similar, and how it and other foods have such a huge affect on the body and mind of a person, things they want to say is safe! Her quitting the top ramen and worst msg carrying foods showed a dramatic improvement in her behavior and ability to concentrate and think clearly

I totally agree when it comes to the flu shot. You should see what the doctors tell you to get that one done. Tristan had it done the first yr cause they told me new borns die from it, that newborns get way sicker then most on it etc etc. I got the shot done. Tristan still got sick off and on that yr anyway infact he was hospitalized with pnuemonia 3 months later that had accelerated from the flu that was supposed to be prevented.
There have been some radio commercials that have been promoting the chicken pox vaccine that say, "The chicken pox can cause up to five days of itching, and it's totally unnecessary. Talk to your doctor about the chicken pox vaccine...." O_o Since when is itching something that needs to be prevented? Honestly, who falls for this garbage, anyhow? What's next, the common cold?
Given that vaccines are probably one of the most profitable products that pharmaceutical companies produce, I don't see this situation getting any better. :-(
It is very sad isn't it. But I feel I just need to keep on trucking on. Even if one family comes to understand the propaganda..then it is worth it in the end. Right?
I had to get a flu shot because of work - and where I work. Had I decided not to, I would've had to've signed a waiver stating WHY I did not get a shot. One of the choices was "I haven't come down with the flu for several years." Which would be my reason (I haven't had the flu since 3rd grade!). However, working at the hospital, I am now more susceptible to contracting the flu. A few of us got worried that if we didn't get the shot, and we signed that waiver, we would suffer in a totally legal way at the hands of the hospital (Like if we did contract the flu and had to be off work, they didn't have to justify our time off and/or pay us). Lucas didn't get the flu shot last year, and we don't forsee him getting a flu shot this year. He's at a small day care with only about 3 to 4 other children. His illnesses have mostly been ear infections and colds/sinus infections. We see no reason to make him get a flu shot ever. We'd rather him build up his own immunity to the flu; that way, he's not dependent on the flu shot for the rest of his
I am happy for the decision for Lucas. I also work at a hospital (mental health) and we are all shuffled up there like cows to get the shot. But I have always denied it. So far...no flu, but 4 of the woman that got the shot have been out with the flu. I think I got the flu once in college..and I am not joking when I say this..it was the one year I got the shot.
