Is this from 'The Iliad?' I just skimmed it, and my ancient Greek is somewhat rusty, but I thought I saw the words Thetis and Troy, and something about death?

I'm impressed. We were watching Troy which made me reminiscent of my BCraig and SMac days. This is from where Achilles is talking about his 2 fates as described to him by his mother (Thetis). Ah glory. Apparently it is everlasting.

It sure is. I think Achilles made the right choice...he even got a body part named after him, which is no small thing.
