It's been since... well, since The Doctor's Wife since I've enjoyed an episode of DW that much. And this was just perfect. They really outdid themselves, everyone involved. Just wanted to ask if you also have seen the half hour extra special by Peter Davison and others, called "The Five(ish) Doctors"? It is awesome and very funny! And many familiar faces appear. You can watch it here: http://www.bbc.co.uk/programmes/p01m3kfy

I agree, the special was way better than I had thought, and I am very glad we went to the cinema to see it live together with millions of fans all over the world.

Yes, I was fortunate to be able to see that special, as well! It was delightful and charming and definitely made me laugh.

Oh man, I wish I could have seen the 50th in the theater! Sounds like an awesome experience.
