Folks, today is a day for celebration. For it was on this date, 75 years ago, that the Twenty-First Amendment was ratified, thereby ending the the vile oppression known as prohibition.

Now I'd like to think that this was a case of state power finally succumbing to the will of the people. It's romantic to imagine the bold masses in the streets,
