I hear ya daniel. Living over in France has really pointed out more and more things of this sort that really boil my water. And all i could say is...this is why i'm living in France. But now, i can't say that. Living abroad and being American is embarassing. Running into some american soldiers on leave from Iraq, calling out all the arabs they have so willingly killed made me cringe to be an American. All the soldier could say to justify his actions was..."if it was my duty or not, killing arabs is great and i'd do it tonight if I had a chance". I'm not saying this is true for all soldiers, but I have run into quite a few in the last few months, and it has been very disheartening to hear their lack of respect for arabs in general. Just because the US has a "political vendetta" out for the arab population to "fix" their idealogy to match the US's, doesn't mean you can treat and think less of arab citizens. Also, the sad part is not all, but a lot of the anti-american comments in France are very much true. Even if they are spoken from
