On cranberry sauce

I love discovering that the best way to cook something is the simplest. I contributed turkey and cranberry sauce to the Thanksgiving feast with my wife's family this year. I agree, simple is best. I use basically the same recipe. Sometimes I add a cubed apple or pear. I did this year. If it's just sweet and fruity, I also can turn the leftovers into cranberry and my favorite nut of the week loaf cake. This year, I made two cranberry loaf cakes for gifts. Other years, I've also added onions and garlic and turned it into cranberry chutney. It's always good as long as the sugar ratio is right. Not too tart, not too sweet.
