In need of sleep

ely used to wake up every night at about 3am. then around 5 months he started to sleep through the night (7:30pm - 6am). then while we were away in spain in september he started to wake up in the night really hungry. we thought it was just the time change. when we got him it kept going on. he'd wake up 2 or 3 times a night to have a bottle. this ( Read more... )

I think that's fairly common. I know we went through phases of that....still go through phases of that. We read the No-Cry Sleep Solution by Elizabeth Pantley. A couple of bedtime snacks she recommended were bananas and cheese - those tend to be filling and hold kids over. We also cut out milk during the night because too many kids we know have already had dental surgery because they had milk (nursing or bottles) during the night. So we would offer him a few sips of water. I am trying to think back to his age though...it gets hard to remember what you did at what age ( ... )
