One of the many extra benefits of working for a global company, is not only working with but becoming friends with both co-workers and their families from across the globe. One of those friends (wife of a co-worker in France) upon hearning of Carol's cancer, said she "would hold her thumbs" for Carol... I don't know what the French phrase was that this came from, but it is the equivelent to crossing ones fingers...

So, I am holding my thumbs for you today...
