So this whole "having cable in my home" thing does lead to more television watching. Though mostly On Demand, because frankly, I can't stay up till 11pm to watch shows, and a lot of the ones I like are on at 10pm! LOL
New Shows:
Unforgettable - While nothing special, this is interesting enough to watch. It has potential. :) I'm just not sure the gimmick of walking back through the memories won't eventually get sort of old. I rather like some of the characters though, and they've successfully hooked me with the mystery of her sister's murder. I want to know what happened!
Prime Suspect - I HATED the first episode of this, and didn't watch another one till last week. It does kind of grow on you, though it's puzzling that they are apparently all drinking on the job and I'm not sure I like any of the characters. More puzzling still is her hat. This one could fall off the To Watch list at any second... I hate shows where you can't sympathize with any of the characters.
The Protector - This isn't bad so far. :) I enjoy the episodes, although they are not terribly memorable. Plus, both the main cops are female; Gloria and Michelle. They have conversations that are not All About Men, though they do have those as well. LOL Gloria is a single mother of two, and manages just fine with the assistance of her brother.
Person of Interest - Unexpectedly, this is my favourite of the new shows so far! We're finding out more about the characters in bits and pieces, and the idea of the computer is interesting. The ...flexible morality of the two protagonists is interesting, and I love the cop who is hunting them down. She's awesome, and needs more screen time. :D
Terra Nova - I really wanted to like this one. Dinosaurs! Intriguing set up! ....no characterization whatsoever, yet another annoying-teenage-son character, and weird....un-feminist sort of thing. They have Washington as the second in command; a strong woman with lots of experience dealing with the locale and wildlife. Who does the leader take with him on dangerous expeditions? Jim (our main character), who has...no experience whatsoever with the locale and wildlife, has been in prison for two years, and before that was a cop in a very urban environment. Logic? His wife, Elizabeth, is brilliant - but she doesn't get to DO anything. ::shrug:: It's just weird.
Grimm - I'm waiting for this one. I don't think it will be good, but I'm hoping it will be. After all, I've made up stories about the last of the Grimms myself (though my "last Grimm" was a three year old, and the fairytale world another dimension.) So I really want to see what they do with it, while keeping my expectations low. LOL
Returning Shows:
Castle - I'm still enjoying this, and watching regularly! Though I don't know if I want to watch the most recent episode... against my will I ship Beckett/Castle. I have no particular wish for them to get together and live happily ever after, but I hate it when they date other people! LOL
Body of Proof - I didn't expect to like this one, but I do actually enjoy it with the exception of the boss/ex storyline, which annoys me. Let's be clear: dating your employee's ex DOES make you creepy. Sorry.
Criminal Minds - They have everybody back and seem to be back on track, to me. Though I bailed five minutes into that one with the eyes. I just couldn't do it. Did I mention JJ is back? Though now she's an agent, and I preferred her previous position on the team.
NCIS/NCIS LA - I only sporadically watched them last year... and this year? Couldn't be bothered. Buh-bye shows!
