Chapter 5
He was falling.
He was continuously falling.
To where, he didn't know.
He couldn't do anything.
And suddenly it was as if he reached the bottom.
Chinen's eyes snapped opened.
He was in his room.
It was bright.
He turned to the window.
'Morning already.'
Suddenly, he felt a hand on his.
He looked back at the bed.
Umika. She was already awake and she was looking at him.
Chinen grew scared. He was now fully awake.
Umika looked very tired and weak.
"Are you okay?" He asked coming closer to her.
"I.. I..." Her voice was weak.
Chinen grew more worried.
"Wait here," Chinen said. "I'll go get some---" he was cut off.
"No... Yuri... Don't leave me." She said, her voice more strong. 'Again.' she finished in her mind.
"Don't leave me just yet." She told him.
Chinen slowly nodded. "Okay." he said.
He held her hand more tighter and sat on the bed's side. Umika moved closer to him as he did so, as well.
Chinen brushed a strand of her away from her face. Umika closed her eyes at the touch, savoring the feel of his hand on her face.
He began stroking her hair with his free hand while the other still clutch her hand.
They stayed like that for a long while.
"I remembered." Umika started. "I remembered everything, Yuri."
'Even things I shouldn't remember.' Umika thought bitterly.
Chinen was just quiet.
"I shouldn't be here." She said.
Another pause and then.
"You're an angel." Chinen said.
Umika slowly nodded. "Yes."
'I don't care.' Chinen thought.
"They must be looking for me." Umika continued.
"They?" Chinen asked, bewildered.
Umika chose not to answer but just nodded.
"I should leave." Umika said.
Chinen frowned, though Umika couldn't see it.
"Do you want to?" He asked rather harshly. Umika was surprised at his tone.
She looked up at him. He looked angry, it was a bit scary for Umika. But his eyes... in his eyes, there was pain and sadness.
"Yuri..."
"You can't leave. You're hurt." Chinen said quickly, his expression melting.
It was an excuse. They both know that.
'But I'll hold onto this excuse unless I'm forced to let go.' Chinen thought, determined.
Silence.
"I... I think I'll recover soon. I must leave as soon as I can." Umika said.
It was an excuse. But Umika was thankful for it.
Chinen knew he was being selfish. He knew that. But he couldn't help but wish that Umika would never recover.
An alarm sounded then, and the somber mood was somehow shadowed.
Chinen reached for his phone on his bedside table. He had work today.
"Are you already leaving?" Umika asked.
"No." Chinen answered at once.
"Eh? What about work?" Umika asked.
"I'll call in sick, today. I'll stay here." Chinen said. 'With you.'
Umika nodded, sporting a small smile.
And then Chinen began stroking her hair once more..
They had stayed like that for a very long while.

"And he didn't leave me alone for quite awhile after I arrived so prepare yourself." Ryun said.
"Well, if he gets annoying, just shove a cat at him." Shiori said, nonchalantly.
Hikaru glared at her. "Not funny, Shio."
Suzuka laughed. "I still don't get why you're so afraid of them, Nii-chan."
Hikaru pouted at Suzuka playfully and everyone laughed. Even Yuto let out a small smile.
'I could get use to this.' He thought.
it's AU and they're not really in character. it's like a drama or something. anyway, that's Kamiki Ryunosuke, Kutsuna Shiori, Yaotome Hikaru, Ohgo Suzuka and Nakajima Yuto...
and i don't really know if i can finish this. i won't post any chap til the whole fic is complete.
