Title: Déjà vu
Author: macy
Pairing: implied YamaShi (futuristic)
Genre: familial, crack
Rating: G
AN:
- inspired by a sasusaku fanfic… xD
- unbetaed and done in 15 minutes.
- I used my old YamaShi family once more. Though only Yuta (the second son) is here and there’s a mention of Yumi (youngest and only daughter)

"You like doing that." Yuta suddenly said from his bed.

Mirai blinked and looked back at him, perplexed. "Doing what?" She asked.

"Playing mom." Yuta said, looking at her with a frown.

Mirai gasped as if she was severely insulted. "I am your mom!" She told her second son indignantly.

"I know that. But why do you always like playing… er housewife?" Yamada Yuta said, still frowning at his mom. "You don't really have to arrange my clothes, do you? We have maids to do that." He pointed out.

"Don't be such a brat. There are things only a mother could do for her son." Mirai said in a huff, turning her back on his son.

"Yes, but arranging my things isn't one of those." Yuta said in a bored voice.

Mirai turned back to him, one eyebrow raised. "What's wrong?" She asked. "You're not usually this bratty."

"EVERYTHINGS WRONG!" Yuta suddenly burst out, irritated. "I can't believe I'm missing Sayuri-chan's birthday just because I'm sick!" He said grumpily.

"Well, whose fault is that?" Mirai said, looking amused. "And I wanted to see your Aunt Umika, too, you know. But well, you're sick."

"I know! I just said that!" Yuta said, glaring at the floor.

Mirai just shrugged at him, indifferent.

"Mom…" Yuta called once more.

"Yes?" Mirai answered.

"You really should just stop, you're just gonna mess up my things." Yuta said looking at all of his clothes that were now scattered on the floor.

"You have so many clothes!" Mirai suddenly said. "And they're placed in your closet too tightly. Once you took it out, you can't fit it in again!" She complained.

"That's why I told you to let the maids do that." Yuta said, sighing.

"Yumi's closet isn’t like this…." Mirai said, pouting a little.

"Mom, Yumi's walk-in closet is as big as the guest room…." Yuta deadpanned.

"…"

Yuta sighed in exasperation.

"Mom…"

He was ignored.

"Mom…."

Still ignored.

"Mom!" He called loudly, very much annoyed.

"What?" Mirai asked, turning back to him.

Mirai wasn't very surprised to see her son pouting.

"Come over here and stop that." He said.

'But I haven't finished--"

"Just stop, please. Let go of my things and come over here." Yuta said again, gesturing for his mom to come.

Frowning, Mirai stood up from where she was crouching and made his way to his son. Yuta was patting the space on the bed besides him.

Mirai suddenly grinned and moved faster to sit next to her son.

Yuta sighed tiredly.

"That's better." He said.

But then he blinked, a little weirded out as his mom stared at him unblinkingly.

"Mom…?"

"You are your father's son." Mirai said, letting out a little giggle.

"Eh?" Yuta asked, confused.

"Though you're father was more blunt. So I guess there's a little me as well." Mirai continued, ignoring Yuta's confusion. She said all this with a little pride.

Yuta was still confused.

But he just couldn't help but smile as her mom started laughing at whatever it was she was remembering about his father.

It was the fourth day of their last field trip as high school and Mirai couldn't believe that she was stuck in the hotel, while all her friends were out having fun.

And it was all because a certain guy chose that very day to be sick.

She guess she could have leave him alone to fend for himself, but she knew he'd sulk for the next two weeks or so, so give up a day fun, she did.

"Mirai! Mirai!" Ryosuke called obnoxiously. Mirai was starting to get really irritated. For someone who was usually meek and quiet, Ryosuke could really be such a bossy brat when he's sick.

"What?" She asked, irritated. She was trying to not feel resentful about the whole situation by distracting herself with some movies, but Ryosuke tended to just remind her.

"Just come here!" Ryosuke demanded. Mirai seriously is close to strangling him to get it over with. Then she'd have no one to take care of.

"What is it? I'm not really in the mood you know." Mirai said, when she was in front of Ryosuke, who was curled up in his bed.

"Nor am I." Ryosuke said with a pout.

"Is something wrong?" She asked, now a little worried.

"Yes." He said firmly.

"What?" Mirai asked.

Ryosuke then started patting the space besides him.

Mirai raised a brow at him.

"Just come over here." He said bossily.

Mirai rolled her eyes at him but nevertheless shrugged and came over, sitting beside him on the bed.

Ryosuke then sighed and smiled at her.

"Okay, nothing's wrong anymore." He declared, grinning like the idiot he is.
