“If that’s true, would you please stop calling me Ryutaro-san? Call me Ryuu-kun...” he said.
Enna looked innocently at Ryuu.
“Ryuu-“
“RYUU!” Yamada’s voice can be heard from outside.
“Ryuu! Are you there?” He knocked.
Ryuu sighed.
“Hai, I’m here.”
“Go back! Yabu is being a parent again!” he said.
“Hai. I will. One sec.” Ryuu said.
He looked at Enna, waiting.
Enna looked at her questioningly.
“Say my name.” He said.
“R-ryuu-kun?” she said tentatively.
Ryuu beamed. “Thank you, Enna, I’m fine now. I’ll be back in a few.” He said as he dashed out, seemingly energized.
CHAPTER 8
“It’s so beautiful!” Enna gasped, looking at the night scene before her. They were in Ryuu’s room balcony.
“Where are we now?” She asked Ryuu. They’ve just arrive here earlier. Comparing to their previous trips, this one is the most enjoyable for Enna-chan. Ryuu did not left her in his bag this time but instead held her through the whole journey.
“Yokohama.” Ryuu said. “This will be our last venue, then we can go home.” He said.
“Then I will see Natsune-chan soon?” she asked.
“Mm.” he nodded.
She beamed at him.
They were silent for a while gazing at the lights of the city.
“What is that?” Enna-chan asked pointing at the Ferris wheel.
“Yokohama Ferris Wheel. It’s a ride.” Ryuu said. “People rode in those passenger cars,” he pointed, “and they got to ride for a while.”
Ryuu looked at Enna gazing at the wheel. “If you’d like,” he said, “we can ride it when I get a free time… I’ll ask Yabu-kun if we can.”
Enna looked at her, “But Ryuu-kun,” he smiled when he heard her, “would it not be scary?” she asked apprehensively.
“Don’t worry,” Ryuu said. “I wouldn’t let you fall or anything.”
“I know Ryuu-kun would not,” Enna smiled sweetly at him, “but I am very ungraceful.” She said frowning a bit.
She tried to turn to Ryuu but then she stepped on her kimono and stumbled. Ryuu caught her.
“See?” she said.
Ryuu helped her stand up.
“Enna-chan… isn’t it because of your kimono? Natsune said that it’s very hard to move when wearing a kimono…” he asked.
“I… I do not know. I have not tried wearing anything else.” She said.
Ryuu was about to say something but then Yabu called him from the room. Ryuu placed Enna on the floor.
“Sorry, Enna-chan, could you hide for a while?” he whispered.
Enna-chan smiled understandingly and went behind the curtains.
“Ryuu?” Yabu called once more.
“Hai?” he answered.
Yabu went out to the balcony, too.
“You’re here.” He said.
“Yeah, I was just looking at the scenery.” He said.
“Ah… I thought… Well, would you like some company?” Yabu asked.
“But aren’t you tired? You fell asleep at once. You should just rest; I’m fine here, really. I’ll go inside in a bit.” He said.
Yabu looked at him as if contemplating to go back to sleep or to accompany Ryuu. But it seems he was more tired than he let on.
“Don’t stay up too late, ne?” he said to Ryuu as he went back inside their room.
When he was finally gone, Enna went back to Ryuu. Ryuu carried her back to the veranda.
“Yabu-san seems to always worry about you.” She noted.
“Yeah,” Ryuu agreed. “He’s like an older brother to Seven. He’s very reliable.”
Ryuu gazed inside their room. He was sharing a room with Yabu-kun this time. After that night when Ryuu knew about Enna-chan, It seems BEST is always watching Ryuu; especially Yabu-kun. He wouldn’t leave Ryuu alone for long. He insisted sitting beside him during their journey from Nagoya; he insisted that they share one room in this hotel.
“Enna-chan, am I being like Natsune-chan?” he asked Enna. “Like always locking myself up? BEST seems to start worrying about me too much.”
Enna smiled at him. “You are being like Natsune-chan to me. I do not think that is a bad thing. I like being friends with Ryuu-kun.” She said.
Ryuu smiled. “I like being friends with Enna-chan, too, and of being like Natsune-chan to you ‘because Natsune-chan is important to you, ne?”
She nodded. “Natsune-chan and Ryuu-kun are very important to me. You are my dear friends and you both take good care of me. In the old store, obasan takes good care of all the dolls, too. But there are so many of us that sometimes she accidentally neglects the others. I am really pleased Natsune-chan and Ryuu-kun were the ones who took me.”
Ryuu looked at her. “Enna-chan… this might be a weird question, but how did you come to be?” he asked. “I mean, how… how were you made? Are the other dolls in your store alive, too?”
Enna shook her head. “They were not. It was only me. I do not really know how I came to be either. The oldest memory I have is that obasan was combing my hair and arranging my kimono. I have never really thought of these things before.”
Ryuu just nodded. They watched the scene for a little while more and then the both of them went back inside and settled for the night.
The next day was rehearsal. They also have to get use to their new venue.
It was the first time for Enna. Ryuu brought her in the backstage and told her she could go and explore the arena but to be sure to return to the backstage after their rehearsal.
Enna didn’t really leave the backstage. She just stayed by the curtain and watch Hey! Say! JUMP rehearse. She was very excited while watching them dance. And they sing very well, too. It was wonderful how they could move like that. No wonder many people like them.
They also wore different clothes. Ryuu has said they were their costumes. He said they were dress appropriate to a particular occasion or season.
He went backstage after a particular dance. He carried Enna to the table and showed her the costume he was wearing.
“Look, Enna-chan, we’re a pair.” He said, indicating his costume. He was dressed like as a samurai.
“You are right!” Enna said excitedly.
Ryuu smiled at her. “It seems like we’re a lord and a princess, ne?”
She beamed at him. “That is true! Will you be wearing this now?” she asked him.
“Sorry, Enna-chan, no. It’s just a costume for our sword fighting skit.” He said.
But Enna wasn’t really perturbed. “You can do sword fight?” she has asked instead.
“A bit.” Ryuu said. “It’s scripted so it’s just like learning a new dance.”
“JUMP is really astounding!” she said.
After the rehearsal, Enna and Ryuu came back to their room. They came before Yabu-kun so Enna was moving freely.
Ryuu has to chuckle to see Enna animated. She was singing Smile Song.
“Kimi wa kimi no
sou hitotsu dake no taiyou
sou sa, sou sa…”
“You really like that song, huh.” Ryuu commented.
“I like all JUMP song. They are beautiful.” She said.
Ryuu smiled at her.
“You have a beautiful voice, too.” He said.
Enna-chan blushed.
“Thank you. But you do, too! And you were great at dancing!” she gushed.
It was Ryuu’s turn to blush. “Thanks.” He said.
“Ne, do you like to come to the real performance, too?” Ryuu asked Enna.
“May I?” she asked, excited.
“Sure, but no one should see you. And you have to return to my bag when the concert’s finish, okay?”
“Hai! But where can I watch you from? Is it fine behind the curtains again?” she asked.
“Hm… I think it would be too loud there… I know, you can stay by the camera. I’ll place you there before we start. But you have to go back by yourself, I can’t go out after the encore. I’ll just show you the way, okay?”
“Okay…”
“And before I forgot, wear one of these for the concert.” Ryuu said as he took something from his bag.
“I asked Ruka-san to buy these for me earlier. So you would be comfortable moving.” He said.
They were different clothes. Doll clothes.
“I also have costumes!” Enna said gleefully.
She started removing her obi.
“Enna-chan, what are you doing?” Ryuu asked.
“I want to try wearing them.” Enna said, surprised at Ryuu’s outburst.
“You can’t change in front of me!” he said.
Enna looked at him perplexed. “Why is that Ryuu-kun?” she asked innocently.
“Just don’t.” he said, turning red.
Enna didn’t really understand but she nodded. “Okay, then I will try them later.”
“Yes, that would be fine.” Ryuu said, still red.

-i don't know bout you guys but i really like it when BEST is acting like onisans to SEVEN. xD especially Yabu to Ryuu... lol, they're adorable (for me)
