“It’s better when it’s tied up.” Suzuka insisted.
“But that’s a shame, Suzu-chan. Mirai-chan’s hair is so beautiful, it should be let down.” Umika retorted.
“But Mirai-chan’s beautiful face is more visible with her hair up. I still think it’s better tied up.” Suzuka said.
Mirai sighed. The two had started arguing after changing from their gym clothes.
“Guys, I don’t really think it matters much.” She commented but it was unheard by the two who were still arguing.
Mirai sighed once more.
“What’s the problem?”
It was Ryosuke, no doubt he heard the two arguing. They were a bit loud.
The two turned on Ryosuke.
“What do you think Yama-chan?” Suzuka asked. “I think Mirai should tie her hair up so her face would stand out.”
“But her hair is so pretty! It would really be a shame to tie it up!” Umika piped.
Mirai looked at Ryosuke silently asking for help.
Ryosuke looked at Mirai. She was holding her hair together but still hasn’t tied it up.
“Well, what do you want?” Ryosuke asked Mirai.
“It doesn’t really matter to me. Just pick one to get this over with.” Mirai said the last sentence in a whisper.
“Hmm,” Ryosuke thought. “How about a headband, then? That way, Mirai’s face wouldn’t be covered by her hair and at the same time, her hair is let down.”
Mirai beamed at Ryosuke.
“Yes, I’ll do that.” She said before the two can start arguing again.
Mirai let go of her hair and took her handkerchief and wore it like a headband.
“Is this okay?” Mirai asked her friends. They gave her thumbs up.
“Wow, your hair’s so long now.” Ryosuke said sitting next to Mirai.
“It’s beautiful, ne?” Umika said, smiling.
Ryosuke nodded.
“Thank you.” Mirai said.
“I haven’t noticed it grew this long…” Ryosuke said.
“Well, you two have both been busy.”
“That’s true.” Mirai said. It had really been a very busy month with the holidays and everything. It was surprising that she felt relieved to be back at school.
She sighed and leaned her head on her boyfriend’s shoulder. She did miss Ryosuke.
Ryosuke combed a hand through Mirai’s hair, leaning back as well.
“These two are too cute.” Suzuka commented and Umika giggled.
Mirai laughed as well and thumped Suzuka on her shoulder playfully.
“But Yama-chan, I remembered reading a magazine before. You said you liked girls with short hair.” Umika said.
“I did, before.” Ryosuke said. “That was a long time ago.”
“I read that.” Mirai said. “I think that was after our TGQ SP.”
“It was.” Ryosuke said, and then he laughed. “It was because I liked looking at napes. Some girls have beautiful napes.”
The three girls laughed.
“I didn’t know you had a nape-fetish!” Mirai said.
“That was before.” Ryosuke said a little defensively.
“Recently I heard Yama-chan likes girls with long hair.” Suzuka commented. “I think I heard Yuto teasing you before.”
“Well, yeah. Cause long hair frames the face elegantly…” Ryosuke said and then he looked at Mirai. “So yeah, headband is good.”
“So now it’s long-hair-fetish.” Umika commented.
Ryosuke laughed. “It’s not really a fetish.”
“Come to think about it, didn’t your ideal girl changed drastically throughout the years?” Mirai said. “Before you like girls with short hair and who are a little boyish and playful now in interviews I hear you like girls with long hair and who are feminine. Why is that?”
“It’s not that different… In general I like girls who are frank and honest and fun to be with. The physical preferences just changed.” Ryosuke said.
“But why is that?” Mirai asked.
Ryosuke shrugged. “I don’t know. Maybe I’m being more mature?” He said with a laugh.
“Or maybe she’s growing up.” Suzuka said with a smirk.
“Yeah, I think so too.” Umika commented.
Ryosuke looked at Mirai with a curious expression.
“Oh… so that’s why…” he said as if being enlightened.
Mirai whacked him playfully. “Baka.”
Umika and Suzuka laughed.
“So it’s not nape or long-hair fetish!” Umika said.
“Yeah, it’s just Mirai-fetish!” Suzuka concluded.

-I have a quiz in Anatomy of Vertebrates later on Integument so I have been reading about hairs… T_T
