He really hated singing 'Hitomi no Screen' live. He hates that he's always the one to say those three detestable words.
And he had even say it in other languages, Japanese, Korean, English, Chinese. He wouldn't be surprise if they asked them to say it to 15 or so more languages since they've released 'Arigatou.'
Of course, he never always viewed love like this.
But now he was tired of saying it every freaking time.
He really doesn't know why suddenly he had the image of 'love.'
All his solos are about love. Even when they were asked to compose a song, he was specifically asked to make a 'love' song.
Jeez, he didn't even have any experience in love.
He don't even know if love is real... It just seems to be an lllusion.
Whenever he say 'I love you,' fans would scream. They would claim they love him, too. But how will you know if that's real? How do they know if what is Yamada saying real?
How do you identify love, really? How would you know if it's love or if it's just infatuation?

"Here..." Mirai said giving Ryosuke a box.
"What's this?" Ryosuke asked.
"It's chocolate, silly. It's Valentine's Day." Mirai said, pushing the box towards Ryosuke.
"Ah... Thanks..." Ryosuke said lost for words. It was the first time Mirai gave him a chocolate.
"Yuto's not here, ne? Would you mind giving him this?" Mirai asked handing Ryosuke another chocolate.
"Sure..." Ryosuke said. He didn't really know what to say.
Mirai giggled. "Why are you looking so daze? And don't I at least receive a 'thank you'?"
"Thank you..." Ryosuke said robotic-ally.
Mirai laughed.
"What is wrong with you?"
Ryosuke scratched his head. "I'm just confused... Why are you giving me honmei choco? And Yuto as well..."
Mirai shrugged. "Well, this is the our last Valentines as classmates. I just thought I'd want to make the best of it."
"Why give us honmei, though? Doesn't that equal a confession?" Ryosuke said.
Mirai laughed more. "No, baka. It means you guys are special to me. I'm giving you honmei choco because I love you guys."
Ryosuke sighed at the words.
"What is love? I don't really understand..." Ryosuke mumbled.
"Well, technically it's a feeling." Mirai answered though Ryosuke wasn't really asking her. "When you are thankful that someone is part of your life. When you want to protect something. When you are willing to sacrifice for someone... That's love. Ryosuke, you love work, and you love your pets, your family, your friends.... You love JUMP and Yuto and Chii..."
"Hmm... when you say it like that.. Then it seems I love so many things." Ryosuke said.
"Yes you do. And you better appreciate them now before it's too late." Mirai said smiling and then she went next to Shougo.

Ryosuke really couldn't understand himself, but he still hadn't touch Mirai's chocolate and kept it in their fridge.
The other chocolate he had received, he had already eaten and shared with his sisters.
Her neechan had seen the chocolate Mirai gave him. She didn't comment but she smiled suspiciously at Ryosuke. She had asked him who it was from. He told him it was from Mirai and then she grinned.
Really, girls are a mystery.
On February 15th there were still chocolate-giving.
Their classmate who had work on Valentine's Day gave late chocolates to the boys. Ryosuke received a few more but it didn't really feel anything special. It was just chocolate anyway.
He had felt different when Mirai gave him the chocolate but that was because he was surprised. Mirai is very boyish compared to their other classmates. She was the last one she thought would give a chocolate. And it was honmei.
He and Mirai had always been friends. They got along well since they met in TGQ SP. She was the only girl outside his family that he was very comfortable with. Well, you could say she was like a sister to him.
They had been there for each other through the years. Even after their drama and before they enter Horikoshi, they had always been in touch with each other. They always chatted about their experiences and they always confide to each other whenever they have a problem.
Well, a best friend would be more accurate than a sister. He was never like that with his Neechan or Misaki. And he's not even like that with Yuto or Chii.
"Ryo-chan!"
Ryosuke started.
"Mirai..."
"I've been calling you for ages. You're necktie's not properly arranged. Mou... you're always like this. You overslept again didn't you?" Mirai chided while arranging Ryosuke's tie.
"Sorry..." Ryosuke said.
Mirai then giggled. "You even have a bed hair. Ryo-chan, arrange yourself, will you?"
"Ah..." Ryosuke agreed.
Come to think of it, Mirai was the only one who call him 'Ryo-chan.' She had called him that since they were kids. And among all the boys from their class, it was only him who call her, 'Mirai.'

It had been a week but still, Ryosuke can't find himself eating Mirai's chocolate. He really didn't like the thought of it being gone once he'd eaten it. But he didn't want it to expire as well. That would be a waste. He didn't know why though. It was just chocolate.
They had PE now. They'll be playing basketball. The girls were in the other half of the court. They'll also be playing basketball.
After playing for half an hour, their sensei had given them a five minute break. The boys still were all hyper and were goofing off, and pulling down each other's pants again. Ryosuke wasn't joining them though.
Mirai had gestured to him, pointing something at his back.
"Huh? What is it?" Ryosuke asked aloud. Mirai pointed again mouthing, 'Miki.'
Ryosuke looked back but too late, Miki had already pulled his pants down.
Ryosuke didn't know what exactly he felt then. It was mixed feelings but mostly he was angry at Kamiki.
'How dare he do that?!'
After their PE, Mirai had tried to talk to Ryosuke but he wouldn't face him.
Finally, she cornered him in their classroom.
"Ryo-chan..." Mirai called.
At the sound of her voice Ryosuke stood up and made a run for it but Mirai grabbed him.
"Ryosuke, what's the problem?? You don't have to be that embarassed!" Mirai said laughing.
Ryosuke still wasn't looking at him but he said, "It's not funny!"
"Ryo-chan, it's not really important... And you're pants dropped during a performance right? There were lots of audience then and you didn't act like this, what's the problem? You don't have to worry about it. It was only me."
Yuto, beside Ryosuke laughed.
"I think that's the problem.. It's you." Yuto said.
Mirai laughed as well. Finally, Ryosuke looked at them.
"Am I missing something?" He asked.
The two looked at each other and laughed again.

Ryosuke had gotten over the incident... Well, he could look at Mirai again. But he was still a bit miffed at Kamiki.
Today they have film-viewing for their Literature class. They would be watching 'Romeo& Juliet.'
The start of all the cliche stories.
Ryosuke sighed. Again with the theme, 'love.'
At the climax, half the girls were already crying.
Ryosuke didn't really understand. He just don't understand why they need to do suicide. There were more practical solutions... why do the extreme at once?
He was grateful to see that Mirai wasn't crying. She wasn't even tearful. But she was very engrossed to the movie.
When the movie was over, Mirai smiled. "Great story, ne?" she had told him.
"Tragic is great?" Ryosuke asked.
"Well, it's a great love but I'd say it's a stupid thing to do." Mirai said. "I wouldn't want someone who'd die for me, I'd want someone who would live for me. That's better, ne?"
"Much, yeah." Ryosuke agreed.
"Have anyone in mind?" Ryosuke decided to tease.
Mirai pouted but said, "Yes, I have someone in mind."
"Ehhh? You have? Who is it??"

The girls were all giddy now. Ryosuke sighed. His female classmates were all gathering around Suzuka.
Yuto had confessed to her and she had answered him. Ryosuke had known about Yuto's crush on Suzuka for a while now but he didn't expect Yuto to confess.
He couldn't help asking him during their break. They were in the rooftop then.
"Do you love her?"
Yuto smiled then. "Yes. I do."
"How do you know that?" Ryosuke asked.
"Hmmm..." Yuto looked up the sky. "How indeed? I don't know... I just know.. You'll know, too, when the right time comes."
"I honestly doubt that." Ryosuke said.
Yuto laughed. "Don't doubt yourself like that."

Shougo blinked when he saw Ryosuke.
Just a few minutes ago he was laughing with Shida, now it's as if he's surrounded by a dark aura.
He looked at Shida to see that she was talking to someone.
Shougo watched as Shida put her phone down and go back to Ryosuke.
"Ryosuke, I'm being called at HQ. Will you tell sensei?" Shida said.
"Sure..." Ryosuke said. "Ryuusei Ryo... he's the one who called?"
Shougo smirked.
"Yeah. He's outside the school. He was in the area when our managers called so he said he'd fetch me." Shida explained as she arranged her things.
"You're going now, Mirai-chan?" Saaya asked, noticing her packing.
"Yeah, emergency meeting at HQ. I don't know what about though. Ryo is waiting for me downstair, I have to go now." Shida said.
"Oh, then itterashai..." Saaya said.
Shida smiled at her and kissed her on the cheek. The girls are all like that. "Ittekimasu. Tell Suzu and Umi, will you?"
"Sure, I will."
"Bye, Ryo-chan." Shida said and she was gone. Ryosuke's expression was.. undescribable..
That Ryo Ryuusei should never step in Horikoshi Gakuen, Shougo had thought.
Saaya looked at Ryosuke and said, "Were you expecting a kiss as well?"
Shougo just had to laugh hard at that.

It was their break then. Everyone was exhausted because they had a long quiz.
Everyone was complaining about their sensei.
This wasn't really knew. They act like this every now then. Well, all students must have acted like this at least once, right?
The girls said they'll buy food from the cafeteria. Yuto and Shougo came along cause they didn't have bentos as well.
They came back but it seemed Shida became more down compared to before. Suzuka, who had a bento and stayed at the room asked her why.
Umika answered for her. "They're not serving tuna today..."
"I wanted to eat tuna to cheer myself up..." Mirai said, pouting.
"Oh, my mom prepared tuna for my bento. Do you want to trade?"
Mirai's face immediately brighten.
"I love you Miki!" She gushed tackling Kamiki.
The girls laughed at this. Mirai can really become like this for tuna.
Jingi noticed Yamada's face then. He shook his head in exasperation. The poor guy just don't get it.
Deciding to help, he said, "I envy Shida sometimes."
Yamada looked at him. "Why is that?" he asked.
"Well, she's so honest. She always express her real feelings. I could never be like that."
Yamada looked at Shida and Kamiki then. Jingi smiled.
Hayato, hearing all of this tugged Jingi.
"What are you doing, Irie, do you hate Kamiki?"
Jingi laughed. "I just want to help. The guy is just too dense he doesn't realize his own feelings."
Hayato sighed. "What you did is to provoke him. It's like you sentenced Kamiki to death."
"He needs to realize it now before some real rival comes."

Chinen approached Ryosuke.
"Yo, you're being too down today. What happened?" Chinen said sitting himself beside Ryosuke.
"I'm just thinking..." Ryosuke said.
"About?"
"Some stuffs..."
"Like?"
"Just... stuffs..."
"Like your future?"
"Eh? No, no, not Mirai... just stuffs..." Ryosuke said frantically.
"I was talking about your future, not Mirai."
"Eh?? Ah...."
"So you were thinking about Mirai..." Chinen said.
"Not really, I'm thinking about the present..."
"No, no, I'm talking about Shida Mirai now." Chinen said betraying a hint of a smile.
"Ehh?"
"Shida Mirai. You're thinking about Shida Mirai. You're confused about what you feel..."
"Wha--"
Chinen's sighed cut off whatever Ryosuke was about to say.
"Don't you get tired?" Chinen asked seriously.
Ryosuke just looked at him.
"You like her." Chinen suddenly said.
"What?"
"You like her. But you're convinced love doesn't exist so you're confused." Chinen said.
Ryosuke gave him a look. Chinen sighed.
"I'm spelling it out to you now Ryosuke cause I'm the one getting tired watching you two. You like Mirai. You've like her since before. You're awkward with other girls but not with Mirai. You don't like even one of Mirai's leading man, heck you even turned cold to Jingi after Sotsu Uta. That's cause you feel jealous."
"What are you talking about Chii?" Ryosuke said, a little angry. It wasn't Chii's business how he feels. Wouldn't he know his feelings best? What is he talking about?
"Honestly, Ryosuke. Everyone knows. Even Mirai knows. You're the only one who's convincing yourself that you feel nothing. You really should appreciate what you have before you loose it." Chinen said and with that, he left.

Ryosuke was excused from class today. He have the radio show in the morning and then he have recording for Music Station after that.
Chinen had not open the topic after their talk yesterday but it got him thinking.
Is it really true, what Chinen said? How could he have missed that then?
He remembered Mirai's chocolate. It was still in their fridge.
Why didn't he want it gone?
What does he really think about Mirai?
Well, she was important to him, that was a fact. She had help him in so many ways he was sure Mirai didn't know how much.
Mirai is beautiful. No one can deny that. She's kind.. She's smart. That's just Mirai.
What else did Chii said? Oh, her leading men... Well, Hongo seems a bit proud. That goes for Ryuusei as well. Hayashi.. he just didn't like him. Jingi... he's okay but...
Why was he irritated when he saw Sotsu Uta? He'd always been good friends with Jingi...
Ryosuke's train of thought were interrupted when they were asked to stand by.
Ryosuke followed his bandmates to the stage a little distractedly.
And that was when it happened.
The next thing Ryosuke knew, he was on the floor and everything the world was shaking.

It was gone as quick as it has come.
Ryosuke didn't know what happened but his hand felt numb, next thing he knew he was being treated. It was a great eathquake. Everyone was shaken.
Ryosuke's phone rang. It was his mom. He answered all her questions robotic-ally. It seems his family was safe. News started coming. It was a great earthquake and there were many victims but for now Ryosuke was relief none of his love one were seriously hurt.
And then came news from school. They had informed the agency that Yuto has a minor injury.
Ryosuke didn't know at once but his heart was hammering. He was relief to know that Yuto was okay though a little hurt but still his heart keeps pounding.
'Mirai!'
"Wait, what about the other students?" Ryosuke demanded. "What did the school say? What about our other classmates? What abbout Mirai???"
"W-we haven't heard anything about them." The staff said, a little surprised. "They just gave a message saying Nakajima is in the hospital right now."
"But Mirai--!"
"Ryosuke, calm down!" Chinen said, grabbing Ryosuke.
"I'm sure we'll hear news from them soon." Chinen said.
"But Chii, Mirai!"
"Ryosuke! Get a hold of yourself!"

Hours have passed but still they hadn't heard anything else from the school nor did they hear anything from Inoo. It was becoming a very long day.
Ryosuke was crouched in one corner of the room. Chinen knew he was regretting. It was really a shame that Ryosuke only realize now. But all they could do is wait.
One of the staffs then said that Yuto had finally called the agency. He asked them if they'd like to talk to them. Chinen and Ryosuke had stood up at once. They wanted to hear from him.
They gave Ryosuke the phone.
"Yuto-kun?"
"Ryosuke..."
Ryosuke felt like his legs were jelly. It was Mirai.
"Mirai... I was so scared..."
"I'm fine Ryosuke. Yuto covered me. He's fine as well. How are you guys?"
"Okay now..." Ryosuke said. He gave a big sigh in relief. "Yokatta... Hontoni yokatta..."

Ryosuke knocked. At last he will be able to see her.
They had been in touch this few days but they weren't able to meet. Ryosuke was feeling a bit nervous.
Well, he had finally realized it. He was such a baka to be so slow but he had finally realize it and he wanted to say it to Mirai properly.
Ryosuke heard footstepps coming closer and he braced himself.
The door opened. Surely, it was Mirai.
At first Ryosuke just stared at her. He was so relieved to finally see her. He had thought he'd never see her again.
"Ryosuke..." Mirai called.
And as if it was a trigger, Ryosuke suddenly pulled her to him and embraced her tightly.
"I was so scared. I thought I was too late. I thought I'd never see you again. I thought I'd never be able to say. Mirai, I love you..."
Mirai smiled and returned the hug.
"You really are late... but I'm glad. I'm so happy you told me. I love you, too. Ever since before..."
"Me too, I'm sorry I never realized... Aishiteru..."

Shida smiled at her and kissed her on the cheek. The girls are all like that. "Ittekimasu. Tell Suzu and Umi, will you?"
"Sure, I will."
"Bye, Ryo-chan." Shida said and she was gone. Ryosuke's expression was.. undescribable..
That Ryo Ryuusei should never step in Horikoshi Gakuen, Shougo had thought.
Saaya looked at Ryosuke and said, "Were you expecting a kiss as well?"
Shougo just had to laugh hard at that.
'Saaya is too frank for her own good.'

It was their break then. Everyone was exhausted because they had a long quiz.
Everyone was complaining about their sensei.
This wasn't really knew. They act like this every now then. Well, all students must have acted like this at least once, right?
The girls said they'll buy food from the cafeteria. Yuto and Shougo came along cause they didn't have bentos as well.
They came back but it seemed Shida became more down compared to before. Suzuka, who had a bento and stayed at the room asked her why.
Umika answered for her. "They're not serving tuna today..."
"I wanted to eat tuna to cheer myself up..." Mirai said, pouting.
"Oh, my mom prepared tuna for my bento. Do you want to trade?"
Mirai's face immediately brighten.
"I love you Miki!" She gushed tackling Kamiki.
The girls laughed at this. Mirai can really become like this for tuna.
Jingi noticed Yamada's face then. He shook his head in exasperation. The poor guy just don't get it.
Deciding to help, he said, "I envy Shida sometimes."
Yamada looked at him. "Why is that?" he asked.
"Well, she's so honest. She always express her real feelings. I could never be like that."
Yamada looked at Shida and Kamiki then. Jingi smiled.
Hayato, hearing all of this tugged Jingi.
"What are you doing, Irie, do you hate Kamiki?"
Jingi laughed. "I just want to help. The guy is just too dense he doesn't realize his own feelings."
Hayato sighed. "What you did is to provoke him. It's like you sentenced Kamiki to death."
"He needs to realize it now before some real rival comes."

Chinen approached Ryosuke.
"Yo, you're being too down today. What happened?" Chinen said sitting himself beside Ryosuke.
"I'm just thinking..." Ryosuke said.
"About?"
"Some stuffs..."
"Like?"
"Just... stuffs..."
"Like your future?"
"Eh? No, no, not Mirai... just stuffs..." Ryosuke said frantically.
"I was talking about your future, not Mirai."
"Eh?? Ah...."
"So you were thinking about Mirai..." Chinen said.
"Not really, I'm thinking about the present..."
"No, no, I'm talking about Shida Mirai now." Chinen said betraying a hint of a smile.
"Ehh?"
"Shida Mirai. You're thinking about Shida Mirai. You're confused about what you feel..."
"Wha--"
Chinen's sighed cut off whatever Ryosuke was about to say.
"Don't you get tired?" Chinen asked seriously.
Ryosuke just looked at him.
"You like her." Chinen suddenly said.
"What?"
"You like her. But you're convinced love doesn't exist so you're confused." Chinen said.
Ryosuke gave him a look. Chinen sighed.
"I'm spelling it out to you now Ryosuke cause I'm the one getting tired watching you two. You like Mirai. You've like her since before. You're awkward with other girls but not with Mirai. You don't like even one of Mirai's leading man, heck you even turned cold to Jingi after Sotsu Uta. That's cause you feel jealous."
"What are you talking about Chii?" Ryosuke said, a little angry. It wasn't Chii's business how he feels. Wouldn't he know his feelings best? What is he talking about?
"Honestly, Ryosuke. Everyone knows. Even Mirai knows. You're the only one who's convincing yourself that you feel nothing. You really should appreciate what you have before you loose it." Chinen said and with that, he left.

Ryosuke was excused from class today. He have the radio show in the morning and then he have recording for Music Station after that.
Chinen had not open the topic after their talk yesterday but it got him thinking.
Is it really true, what Chinen said? How could he have missed that then?
He remembered Mirai's chocolate. It was still in their fridge.
Why didn't he want it gone?
What does he really think about Mirai?
Well, she was important to him, that was a fact. She had help him in so many ways he was sure Mirai didn't know how much.
Mirai is beautiful. No one can deny that. She's kind.. She's smart. That's just Mirai.
What else did Chii said? Oh, her leading men... Well, Hongo seems a bit proud. That goes for Ryuusei as well. Hayashi.. he just didn't like him. Jingi... he's okay but...
Why was he irritated when he saw Sotsu Uta? He'd always been good friends with Jingi...
Ryosuke's train of thought were interrupted when they were asked to stand by.
Ryosuke followed his bandmates to the stage a little distractedly.
And that was when it happened.
The next thing Ryosuke knew, he was on the floor and everything the world was shaking.

It was gone as quick as it has come.
Ryosuke didn't know what happened but his hand felt numb, next thing he knew he was being treated. It was a great eathquake. Everyone was shaken.
Ryosuke's phone rang. It was his mom. He answered all her questions robotic-ally. It seems his family was safe. News started coming. It was a great earthquake and there were many victims but for now Ryosuke was relief none of his love one were seriously hurt.
And then came news from school. They had informed the agency that Yuto has a minor injury.
Ryosuke didn't know at once but his heart was hammering. He was relief to know that Yuto was okay though a little hurt but still his heart keeps pounding.
'Mirai!'
"Wait, what about the other students?" Ryosuke demanded. "What did the school say? What about our other classmates? What abbout Mirai???"
"W-we haven't heard anything about them." The staff said, a little surprised. "They just gave a message saying Nakajima is in the hospital right now."
"But Mirai--!"
"Ryosuke, calm down!" Chinen said, grabbing Ryosuke.
"I'm sure we'll hear news from them soon." Chinen said.
"But Chii, Mirai!"
"Ryosuke! Get a hold of yourself!"

Hours have passed but still they hadn't heard anything else from the school nor did they hear anything from Inoo. It was becoming a very long day.
Ryosuke was crouched in one corner of the room. Chinen knew he was regretting. It was really a shame that Ryosuke only realize now. But all they could do is wait.
One of the staffs then said that Yuto had finally called the agency. He asked them if they'd like to talk to them. Chinen and Ryosuke had stood up at once. They wanted to hear from him.
They gave Ryosuke the phone.
"Yuto-kun?"
"Ryosuke..."
Ryosuke felt like his legs were jelly. It was Mirai.
"Mirai... I was so scared..."
"I'm fine Ryosuke. Yuto covered me. He's fine as well. How are you guys?"
"Okay now..." Ryosuke said. He gave a big sigh in relief. "Yokatta... Hontoni yokatta..."

Ryosuke knocked. At last he will be able to see her.
They had been in touch this few days but they weren't able to meet. Ryosuke was feeling a bit nervous.
Well, he had finally realized it. He was such a baka to be so slow but he had finally realize it and he wanted to say it to Mirai properly.
Ryosuke heard footstepps coming closer and he braced himself.
The door opened. Surely, it was Mirai.
At first Ryosuke just stared at her. He was so relieved to finally see her. He had thought he'd never see her again.
"Ryosuke..." Mirai called.
And as if it was a trigger, Ryosuke suddenly pulled her to him and embraced her tightly.
"I was so scared. I thought I was too late. I thought I'd never see you again. I thought I'd never be able to say. Mirai, I love you..."
Mirai smiled and returned the hug.
"You really are late... but I'm glad. I'm so happy you told me. I love you, too. Ever since before..."
"Me too, I'm sorry I never realized... Aishiteru..."
