Shivering probably burns calories, Dean thinks, watching Sam strip off his sweatshirt when he's clearly fucking freezing. Dean realizes stuff like that a lot, watching Sam make choices that on their surface don't make any sense to Dean. Drinking hot water first thing in the morning. Tearing food into pieces. Eating blueberries but not strawberries. Starving for four days and then eating a whole fucking pie in one sitting. You live with an eating disordered person for long enough and lots of weird shit starts to make sense
