You can't be aghast at the HH video cuz it's obvious they were giving a sendup to the movie. O' course it's obvious that they're riding that wave of nostalgia to further their popularity and airplay...so for that, aghast away!

Nevertheless I feel they didn't pay proper tribute to the movie because I would have been completely unaware of the tribute they were paying had I not previously seen Say Anything.

What more could they do to pay tribute short of getting Cussack back to re-enact the roll? And even if they did get him for it, people who haven't seen Say Anything still wouldn't understand.

You understood it and you're hardly familiar with the movie. Die hard fans (*cough*Hrodi*cough*) will eat that shit up.
