I do agree with Begala, but he doesn't go far enough. Everything that these people think they are protesting are Bush's policies. It was Hank Paulson, on Bush's watch, who gave away that first 700 billon dollars to giant corporations with no strings attached, no transparency, and no accountability. For Chris'sake, people, Obama hasn't even been in office for three months yet - his real policies are going to take some time to be felt.
And the 'teabagging' references have been hilarious.
While our increased tax bill was an "ouchie" to pay this year, (this was our first experience with the alternative minimum tax), I don't resent the fact that I need to pay taxes. I value the services that my country provides for me and I fully accept that I should pay my fair share toward their cost.
These protest people are idiots...they should visit some countries that don't have all the great stuff that we have so they learn to value what we've got.
And maybe I'm a bit of socialist at heart but I'd be willing to pay more taxes even if our country decided to provide us more services... I've seen those systems in close and personal during my years award and I'd be willing to go for it.
