It's dark and cold, but I'm used to not being comfortable. The "gods" seem scary but they haven't really been bothering me. Perhaps they leave you alone if you do the same for them? That doesn't seem very godlike, though.

Once again, you misunderstand me. I said nothing about feeling sorry for them. I can understand, however, how frustrating it must be to be used as mere pawns in a game that the gods play. I tend to have a bias against the gods and if it means that I am siding with the unlucky victims, so be it.
