I don't see how your skin is too pink to have red hair. If you do find that the red makes you pink if you go through with it, you could just use makeup.
I think you should do it. As long as you don't use a bright bright red, it should be fine and look nice.
i have a fair complexion with naturally cool tones to it (blue eyes, fair skin, etc) and i tried the whole "cool copper" thing (basically a copper colour with violet added to cool down the colour for my skin tone) and my my face looks redder than ever. im not saying its true for everyone (and its hard to tell from your pictures), but i regret having the red in my hair. its one of the hardest colours to remove and ive been cutting and growing and cutting my hair trying to get rid of it for quite some time now.because the problem is that once you put a warm colour on your hair if you try to cool it down, or neutralize it, the colour turns really muddy looking. Id say be sure before you commit to a red shade.
Oh wow, that first pic of the girl with the red hair is stunning. I love it. I think it would suit you, your skin will look fine with it. I would suggest sticking to a more natural red, then changing it up and making it more vibrant later if you are liking it. ^_^ Oh, plus, your hair cut isn't that bad at all! Did your friend use a razor?
