The beach looks like a beach, with lots of dry sand to burn your feet. I’m not much into beaches, you can tell. In New Jersey we call it going to the shore instead of going to the beach, and going to the beach means you are going to a lake to swim. Lots of lakes in Minnesota. There’s a swimming beach within walking distance, but I don’t like to swim.
The icon is me at a beach on a reservoir in New Jersey in the late 1970s, though I’ve colored over much of the background with green.
A beach reminds me of sunburn after sunburn and my childhood where I spent a better portion of it not caring about the pain caused by the sun. Now I hate sunburns. Oh good pic of you as a student at uni, right? These students in my first pic are Laura's friends that she always goes everywhere with. Her chums. I know Laura is in the middle in the back.
