favorite books on madness? i know this is typical/predictable/whatever, but i have to go with the bell jar.
Is it really typical? The main reason why I love LJ so much is to be able to join communities like this one. Most people I've come in contact with haven't read The Bell Jar and (believe it or not) there are many who've never heard of it. Should I start hanging out with a different crowd? haha probably but I was just surprised by that comment tis all. Welcome to the community, although I've got no authority to say such things!(I've only just joined a few days ago myself!) :)
and randomly because I feel like it: favorite Plath quote: "It's as if my heart had put on a face and walked into the world."
I didn't mean anything by the comment, it just seems that The Bell Jar is like the bible of "mad women" literature. You shouldn't start hanging out with a new group of people, you should tell them to read what is, IMO, the greatest book ever written:)
Thanks for the welcome, and thanks for sharing the quote!
