Mina sat on her porch swing, radio tuned to a local jazz station. She'd spent most of the day indoors avoiding the heat and humidity. It was starting to cool off as the sun went down at least. It was going to take some doing to get used to this weather.

Thelma hadn't gotten all dressed up.

She only had one outfit. It was all she could wear, as far as she knew.

"Hi," she said, wandering up.

Mina, on the other hand, was dressed more on the slinky side. "Hello," she said as she rose to her feet.

Thelma grinned a bit when she saw Mina. "Well, sorry I couldn't get all dressed up on your account."

"Are you stuck in that same outfit?" Mina asked, cocking her head. "You can't change clothes at all?"
