So I did eventually figure out how to use this little telephone-box-contraption and the little flat key that let me into my own room. Still no butler, though I did find a few long red hairs to suggest he may have been here.
This place is so dreary. Even more so than London and I find that quite disturbing.
Well, seeing as there are no theatres, no operas, not even a fancy dinner ball every now and then- I will resort to my occupation back home.
I am a Doctor, fully qualified in all manner of physical treatment. I specialize in paediatric treatment as well as being an obstetrician. However, I can of course also treat male patients and females who are not with child.
