pssst...i think vancouver is more cold than toronto. if you say hi to a barista there, they look at you funny and say "so, WHAT can i get you?" and completely ignore your friendliness. trufax. no, really, trufax.

This is a valid point, from everything I've heard about Vancouver - I think the difference that confuses people is that Vancouverians are a little less high-strung, and people mistake that for warmth. (Again, this is just going on what I've heard.)

hmm...good point about the "high strung-ness". when i think back to my days in vancouver, i do tend to think of the people as more relaxed about things. not hippy-laid back, but for sure more relaxed.

i will say this...my opinions of t.o. were based on face-to-face contact. i'll freely admit that when people are in cars, some weird jack-ass-ness takes over and then it's nothing but aggressiveness. something about the car...or, maybe that's just woodbridge.

and as for vancouverites being high...maybe i just didn't hang out in the right areas, but i didn't really come across that many dirty, patchouli-wearing hippies...not that i'm complaining.
