Hmmm... some people who read the novel said in their review/summary that the ending of 1917 was pretty confusing. It wasn't clear whether the twins died or lived.

I haven't read the novel, but from the drama CD, the impression I got was both Yuri and Mikhail died in that fire. ^^;
