Here in Houston, there's a club named Walters. Typical little club, right on the boarder of an industrial type area, been there for years. Here recently (last couple years) they've started yuppiefying the area, and put condos across the street. (You know where this is going, don't you?) One apartment started calling noise complaints. Walmart's started rationing how much rice each customer can buy at Sam's. Word today's that it's because of a possible truckers stike due to the price of gas. If there's meat to this rumor, stocking up on dry goods/nonperishables might not be a bad idea.

Sure I'd heard about the Buffy season 8 comic, but the Angel continuation? Just found out, and there's already 4 issues out!

*grumble* I gotta get out more.

We were running low on fish chips so I hit the Asian market on the way home and stumbled across "Wasabi Noodle Snack!" Turns out they're just fried ramen noodles with wasabi powder, but it's the Engrish on the back of the packaging that got me. And I quote:
