Madam Cod's Christmas Treat

No speech this year. I'll leave that to QE2 on the Beeb at 3pm on the day, or those who prefer it, there'll be an interesting alternative on Channel 4 in the Uk around the same time. I'll not let commercialism and cynicism rule my Christmas and have opted, as with most years, to work on the day itself and to give something back that way, then I can ( Read more... )

Aww, she is. We still have a few things to sort out, like her ears. One runs the gauntlet of having to apply drops and then diving out of the way before she sprays everywhere after. The vet says she doesn't have ear lice, but you could grow mushrooms in there!

All three of our cats (our fist cat was called James but died when he was two) that we have had over the last 12 years have taken one look at the tree. The pupils then suddenly becoming fully dilated and all of a sudden you see a blurred feline streak across the room and up the tree before you can react!

I dunno what it is, apart from the shiny baubles and our cats suddenly think they're magpies. We have had tinsel, baubles, lights being ejected etc but a system of much masking tape used to strap the tree down on the surface has meant the thing has stayed upright, and so far the cats haven't started to fry when chewing the light wires!

Anyway, hugs to you all and your kittes!

Aww thanks m'dear, and *hugs* to you at this time as well. The little tigress was spayed yesterday and I was assured by the Vet, she would be very tired and would sleep all night, which meant the back bedroom I confined her to for her first post op night was summarily re-arranged (the little dear was high as a kite when she got back and demolished everything) and she's been flying about since, but all with that innocent little look on her face.
