I apologize for the long absences. Further explanation may get posted under lock, but in brief, after banging my head against the question for a while, I realized I was going to have to put all fanfic writing on hold for an indefinite period. Both personal and creative factors apply

As a fellow writer, I completely understand. Sometimes we all just need to take a step back, take a breath, and things will eventually work themselves out.

As a fan of your work, I am a little saddened at this, but, also as a fan, I remain hopeful that once you do start up again, it'll be even better than expected.

Thanks. :) This has been eating the hell out of me for quite a while. Oddly enough, now that I've officially let go of it, I'm starting to think like a BotI fan again. XD

I second that.

I'm no writer, but I have been a fan since ~ chapter 8. I've followed all sorts of fics over the years and there's never been one as dependable as AbEd, both in quality and constancy. I'm sad to think it will go on hiatus, but confident that you'll finish it some day. And I'm happy that you prefer to take longer in order to write it well than write it now and be dissatisfied with your work. That's the fic I'd want to read, and that's the fic a think you'll write.

I hope so too. It's no damn fun at all when I try to write and produce only labored dreck. There is no faking it -- my mind is simply not in that place and I can't force it to go there. It'll venture back in its own sweet time, perhaps. :)

Hi again ^_^! Thanks to winter break I finally got to reread Abstinence Education and get caught up. While I'm sad to hear that you aren't working on it right now I more than understand, and am still in awe of how much you've done already with the story. It is head and shoulders above pretty much anything I've come upon in fanfiction, in terms of the characterization and authentic feel and just overall thoughtfulness. Oh, and the dirty talk ♥ XD

I had an idea while re-reading it before I knew you were going on hiatus and I thought I'd throw it out there anyway just because... most of the story is told from Rin's perspective, but I thought it would be really interesting to have an AU like Towards Night or a scene or somethng written from Manji's perspective ^_^ Because I love how you write in his facial expressions so that we can guess what he's thinking sometimes even when Rin doesn't, but it'd be awesome to see some of those thoughts put into words that we can have full access to. Just an idea! Makes me wish I could draw better so I

Hi, I just wanted to compliment you on your work. I love your writing. It is honestly the best I have EVER read. Your portrayal of the characters, of their personalities; it's so intense. I couldn't have dreamed a better way for things to happen. I hope that someday soon you can continue with it. I am dying to see how things work for Manji and Rin (being a huge fan of the pairing myself). In a twisted way they remind me of my own albeit, entirely different, relationship with my husband. Everyone faces struggles, everyone struggles with love. I hope these two can come out on top (with my own hope that Manji and Rin end up being, if nothing else possible, at least lifetime lovers)!
