Sunday afternoon Alex and I were heading into a favorite restaurant of ours when suddenly a man and his kid (about 4 years old) came tearing out. The man was shouting, "Not yet! And I miss her already. She came home with me after our dad's surgery to chill for 2 weeks before the semester craziness begins.

Well, my dad had his bypass surgery on Tuesday. He went in at 2pm, and at 7:30, his doctor came to see us and told us that they had just finished, it was a success, but we should go home because my dad would not be out of the recovery room for another few hours.
