It's funny, it's the opposite for me. Christmas feels like forever ago and I actually was in the Lenten spirit a week early. As someone who wasn't raised Catholic, the idea of giving up sweets for Lent is honestly silly to me. Will that sacrifice help one to feel closer to God and help the poor and suffering? To me, Lenten sacrifice is about repentance, healing, focusing less on self and more on others, and rebuilding those connections to God even more strongly. I hope that this Lent brings you what you need.
