This sounds like exactly what I was going through when I lived in Japan. =P You're right. Most people State-side think leaving their state or taking a trip to Canada is a life changing experience. HA! They have no idea...

Yeah... I don't want to sound arrogent and go on about how much harder Japan is and whatnot because everywhere is what you make of it I think, but it is definately harder going from a western culture to an eastern culture. And it's definately hard to understand unless you do it. Oh well. :)
