Woo hoo!
Nothing much to report. I'm exhausted from all this overtime, but payday is Monday and hopefully it will have all been worth it. On Tuesday, my one day off this week, I am going on a day trip to Osaka with Karen so that should be... exhausting, but fun. (^_

I don't know if you recall me, but we went to Gaidai together. I'm Kara, we didn't hang out too much, but I remember seeing you on the way back to Japan from the US during winter break. Don't ask me how I found your lj, I am not quite sure myself.
Anyway, I can see you are more or less in the same position I am in... that a few former Gaidai-sei are in. Second time in Japan, this time it is quite different. I am also in the middle of nowhere (Tango Peninsula in northern Kyoto-fu). All my neighbors are over 70, I have no friends, and Osaka is a 3 hour bus ride away. Japan, there are some things I love about it, but I can't stay here anymore. Japan is not for living. :-P
I'm leaving in about a week and a half myself. I am neither doing JET nor NOVA with a year long contract, so in the end I said, enough!

... I really do think that Gaidai was as fun as it was because of the people we were with. And of course being so close to so much to do (AKA Osaka, Kyoto, Nara, ect.) it made it alot easier to pass the time.
I'm doing better in Gifu, but I am definately ready to get out. You're lucky to be leaving so soon! I'm still here until July, but I had to really force myself to stay that long. At this point I'm just here for the money, which is why I'm working myself to death. Gotta love it...
