I just got back from spending nine marvelous days with Max and I'm already missing our time together like crazy. I don't even know how to put all the fun I had into words. It'll be a long month apart while he's teaching in Waco and I'm going through the motions here in Denton, but I'm looking forward to our next time together ( Read more... )

Do you want me to get it for you? I pass by gifu on my way to nagoya all the time. How were you going to send it?

If it's not too much trouble I may ask you to do that. I was just planning on getting the money withdrawn and then made into a money order and mailed to me. I have her keitai mail address and she works at the main NOVA branch in Gifu but those are the only ways I have to get in touch with her. I'll e-mail her one more time and then contact you. :)

Wow awesome car, I'm so jealous. For my graduation gift, I got a hug. And some money, but nowhere near enough to purchase even the crappiest car of all time.

Can you not withdraw your money from your account using your Japanese ATM card? Mine has one of the internationl symbols on it, so while I haven't tried yet UFJ in Japan told me there shouldn't be any problems simply taking the money out of my local bank's ATM.

Yeah, but UFJ wanted to charge me outrageous amounts to get an ATM/DBT card and I couldn't afford it so all I've got is the non-magnetic cash machine card, and it and my passbook are in Japan now so I'm screwed anyway. I'm working on it though...

Wow! A new car! Swell! And I thought that would have happened after the crazy zebra incident...

I am in the market for a new car myself. Mine is 19 years old and while it's still kicking, it's rather scary driving it at high speeds because you can feel every once of it. It's really meant for thrillseekers.

Evan wants a Yaris soooo bad. I almost agree with him, they are so cool and ethical with gas prices being the way they are these days.
