The Seder is such a beautiful ceremony. Even someone without a drop of Hebrew blood can't help but feel a sense of ancestral pride and sorrow as the Haggadah recounts the age-old tale of slavery, sacrifice, and the greatness of the Master of the Universe. I have an overwhelming amount of respect for the Jewish religion and culture, something that escalated during my very first Seder and bar mitzvah last year, even though I am not even remotely Jewish. You expressed it better than I could, I think it's in the ancient quality that we find a sense of connection.

I love that you have a cross-dressing ball. :-[

That's cool that you went to a Seder last year, and I definitely agree with you. My dad's side of the family is culturally Jewish, though not really religiously, and I only really feel peripherally connected to Judaism until Passover, when I start thinking of Moses as my own national hero and ancestor.

The cross-dressing ball is sooo much fun. It's definitely one of my favorite parties we have at this school. I think I'm going to wear old man clothes this year . . .
