I don't have a whistle register either. I can sing up to E natural or F on a good day, but my highest usable note is E flat and it's most definitely full-voice. Which begs the question, when is a lyric-dramatic soprano ever going to need that? Traviata notwithstanding... that's if I ever even SING that...

Some people just don't have one. Doesn't seem to be holding you back. I've been told in the past by some idiots that I "must develop one" but that's all a load of ass. If you don't need it, why push it? Clearly your voice has many other merits.

My problem right now, though, is that not only do I not have whistle, but I don't even have the notes that could happen in whistle. When my voice teacher wants me to work on my high notes, she says, "Make sure you're vocalizing up to a D." Tee hee.

Also, I think people who hear me expect that I'm going to have the high stuff, but alas, they will be disappointed.
