You know, it never fails to amaze me how many Americans are still apathetic to what's going on with our government, the current administration and the death of over 3, 500 of our own troops, not to mention countless innocent civilians in Iraq and Afghanistan

Evan, I agree with all you brought up, but again, I stress that this wasn't about politics or how you feel about the war. It was only about the loss of life, and no matter where you sit on the fence, it doesn't change.

i don't believe they're dying for "our freedom" at this particular juncture either. But they have in the past and they will again in the future.

No matter what your viewpoint, one should at least be able to acknowledge the numbers and what a moment of silence for each adds up to.

I agree. The best this anonymous person could have said would have been nothing at all.

I know my first response was, "wow". Then again, I'm a sympathetic person. I may not know what to do about a particular situation, but I cannot help but feel something.
