Next to Shaun of the Dead, 28 Days Later is one of my favorite zombie flicks (although many will argue that technically it's not a zombie flick because they're not technically dead or undead). I doubt that a sequel will be able to match the brilliance of the original, but the UK trailor (the first of the two) makes it look like it might be a ( Read more... )

Movie previews suck just as bad as music videos, same style, same formula, a comedy uses the same progression in their previews as a horror movie. If the preview is made from a cookie cutter why bother with the movie?

I dunno. From time to time I've been pleasantly surprised by movies that had trailers that made them look totally sucky. Like stranger than fiction. I totally thought that movie was gonna be just another smörgåsbords of Will Ferrel running around like a big idiot, but it was actually quite an engaging film.

To be honest, though, I'm not expecting this movie to be a masterpiece, but I can dumb myself down for the occasional action/horror flick, so long as it's not completely retarded (like Stay Alive, The Covenant, DOOM, VanHelsing...the list goes on but those are the only ones I've had the misfortune of seeing recently).

Like the new Icon by the way.

V for Vendetta had pretty shitty trailers, had Amy and I not been told to see it multiple times because it's actually good, we would have never even given it the time of day.

I seriously wish you people would quit telling me about the movie before I see it. It's not my fault my roommates decided to go and see it without me, and that all my other friends are either geographically separated, or are too squeamish to see zombie movies.
