i'm horribly anti-milk/dairy usually and this just helps me in my quest to eliminate it from my diet haha

we are also one of the only species that has evolved to drink it when we are older, making it okay for us. and you found your info from a place called milksucks.com, not exactly the most unbiased source, it's a heavily vegan only minded site. There are laws set in place that don't allow dairy producers to cell high SCC milk. High SCC counts usually indicate a mastitis infection and the cow is stopped from milk production and taken care of medically. They try and use young cows because they have lower SCC counts and the milk is perfectly safe. Trust me, dairy farmers take care of their herds, good ones do. What you have to do as a consumer is to make sure the dairy you buy from is credible and takes care of their animals. Sadly many of the "organic" milk farms have high mastitis infection rates because they try not to medicate animals whenever possible. This message was brought to you by Hunter, grandson of a rancher, ex-resident of Montana, and avid 2% milk drinker, yum yum.
