- Dave Barry

As it turns out, my move to Portland is not working the way it did in my head. First of all, I am not even in Portland. I am in Vancouver, Wash. I am carless and practically unemployed unless you want to count the 10 hours I work in a week for a grocery store. Although I am ( Read more... )

Donuts with bacon? Do they ship? haha

I'm really excited about our new job and new move. Galveston is close enough for a weekend trip every now and then. Hope to see you soon!

Yayyy! I'm happy that you will be happier... and closer!! And the best part, I looked up Texas City, and we don't have to take the ferry to visit you!!

*hugs* This seems like a very good step for you! Good Luck!

I'm happy you got a job, but Texas! I hope you can make something out of that.

btw, North Dakota has been the state least effective by the recession. This is partially because the banks are state run and making loans unlike private ones which still do as they please. Yes, another crash is around the corner, which makes you getting a job all the cooler even if it is in the Lone Star State.

Yeah. I guess Texas is no Kentucky :P

A friend of mine in N.D. said that businesses in the area are constantly looking for help. But its flipping cold out there ...

I'd say both states are equal in the suck department, with Texas being maybe a bit better. We could just tell ourselves 'hey we could be in Mississippi?'

Your not telling me the cold has run you off?

I'm sorry it didn't work out for you in Portland. I know you really wanted it to. But, on a more selfish note, I'm really happy you're moving closer. :)

I'm also glad you got a job that you want too. Here's hoping the move to Texas will be a good one!
