Anyone have a cool idea? I need to research SOMETHING (with a technical base) and make a composition in relevance to it. [I don’t have oodles of time, so preferably it doesn’t involve learning a new program

__ Um, yes. When they preformed Dragonfly last night and I heard the line was "history" I thought to myself, "Yan will have something to say about this". They played "Amazing Grace" as their last encore. I'd never heard it before, but I still think that "July" is my favourite Low song, and certianly sparked more thought then any other song they played.
I came to the conclusion that Low play very cold songs in a way that they end up sounding very warm.
The concert was fantastic, and I met a guy there who does some promotion for Constellation Records over here. I'm going to an evening he's doing at the end of the month and will see if I can get any contacts.
Sounds like it was an amazing show. I hope I get a chance to see them. Unfortunately for me, now would really be the best time, since I'm still so obsessed with that album.
I read a review of Drums and Guns that quoted Alan as saying he was struggling with mental illness. According to the reviewer, that along with war, is one of the main themes of the album and Dragonfly would be one of the songs on which it comes out (with the reference to pills, especially).
