You guys were right. I think Mr. Richardson is just a little bit sexist.

I've been looking forward to Brit Lit all through high school and I get the sexist pig no-one likes. =/

He also kept referring to "Of Mice and Men" and how George and Lenny didn't get into trouble unless there was a woman involved and how it was Steinbeck's intent. I guess he forgot the other 3 quarters of the book where George and Lenny get into plenty of trouble with the boss' son and whatnot.

Indeed. Plus he loves to sprinkle his religious beliefs into the lesson. Such as making us memorize the 7 deadly sins for no apparent reason and quizing us on them. =/
