How very odd. My boss is back after 3 weeks’ leave, and it’s actually a *good* thing! :-) (I like my boss. I think.)

Le weekend was fun. Friday night involved a sing-song with the Sarahs and Gribs, and also the company of Kev, James, Alex and Garry. There was chilli and chat, itr was tasty and good in that order. On Saturday, me, mr_epermiths2u and Garry went

What happened to Magic? Jean's not having much luck with her favourite cats at the moment is she...

Magic was never the best breeding queen - of three litters, only two kittens survived past their first week (most were stillborn). So Jean had her neutered. Alas, she got acute septecemia (sp?) from the operation, so they made the decision to have her put to sleep. She was Kitten of the Year in 2004; she and Zuki had an epic battle in February 2005 to win the Overall Best in Show prize (it was a draw but Zuki's name came out of the hat!) and she was just...lovely.

Her one surviving kitten (the other died because her new owner left her FAR too long before breeding her) is Boogie, who is staying at Lunaris as a big fat ginger stud. He's gorgeous, albeit with a dodgy eye due to an eye infection at 5 weeks of age.

Oh, poor Angel, and poor all her other litter-mates. What a sad story - but with a lovely ending, at least. I'm so glad they were able to give her a loving home.
