i love how they would keep asking you where you were from earlier, but now that they're all fired up, your chinese is somehow too smooth to be a foreigner.

mob mentality is scary. i was thinking about the whole freedom of speech thing, and how there's the FSM cafe...perhaps they can at least get a rough idea of a world in which not everything is dictated by the government. and it's amazing, really, how much to them the government = china = the chinese people and any separation of those three is a completely alien concept.
