Further Culinary Adventures (Grinding Meat)

omigosh, this post was so enlightening! I always avoid the sale meat section at Food Lion because I think if I buy and eat it, it might kill me.. but now I think I might venture over there next time. Please post more of your food adventures whenever possible. I need as much inspiration as I can get for my cooking here!

I believe you are referring to the sell by date sales section. This wasn't that, just one of their weekly special of 50% off on this already cheap cut (there are always tricks to cooking a cheap cut). For the record though, I do buy out of the sell by date section, but rarely since the sales usually don't beat the weekly specials and only if I'm cooking that meat that day (although I think I may have held onto it longer and as far as I know, I'm still alive). It tends to be a little brown from being exposed to the air but it doesn't appear to kill people although it might not taste as fresh. Your call. I was evaluating how much I value my peace of mind the other day and concluded it wasn't even worth $2.

And I hear from the grapevine that you are eating questionably so go and be inspired my California swallow friend!!

Seriously, how can pork be so good?! I hope you realize you're probably loosing livejournal readership because of people drowning in their own saliva, just thought I should warn you.

Carolyn??

Come out of your shadows- as the only non-author of this journal eater, your positive review is priceless. Governator has already contacted me about flash flooding problems, but seeing as how meat is one of my two favorite topics, I told him I wouldn't be able to help.
