this is an illustration i've done for an upcoming children's book where each letter of the alphabet is represented by an animal. i got R so i chose Rhinoceros. it was a tough choice between that and raccoon.

I love his (her?) expression and the texture of his skin. Also, the bird's funky hair is badass.

right on. thanks man. i've been trying to experiment with texture more.

i modeled the bird off a kingfisher. they're pretty stylish with their big pompadours

raccoons are rad, but for some reason when i was sketching this i had a harder time drawing them compared to the rhino. i think it was all the fur. i should practice on that.
