Friday night went to the Thinkspace Gallery to see Lola and Chet Zar's opening. Their new plase in Silver Lake is soooo nice. Its twice as big as the last one and has great big sunlights for great natural lighting. I'm stoked for some of their upcoming shows too, one of which i will most likely curate.

this was part of the installation up front

Nice! I can't wait to see their new space. We were in Palm Springs this weekend, so we missed the opening. But thanks for posting the pics! Now I feel almost like I was really there.

I really dig the Chet Zar piece with the top hat. Third one down, with the resonating squiggles.

btw... swirly neon sculpture painting thing belongs to Hive Gallery Director, Nathan Cartwright.

Chet Zar is badass man. I've noticed he's starting to get recognition all over lately.

Also got my printer setup!! woo-hoo!! i'm so stoked. right now i'm getting all the inks in the lines and calibrating everything. you should come over later this week and check it out when you get a chance.

Currently, Chet Zar is my favorite artist, gotta love these pictures. :)
I like all the details in his faces and they're always so creepy. It's neat to see what his work looks like from these angels and to see the type of frames he uses. Nice selection broski.
