Merry Christmas everyone

1.What did you do in 2008 that you'd never done before?
Many things - it was the year of Big Things.
- Went to Thailand and Japan by myself, also saw Uluru, presented two sessions at a national conference, had some articles published in magazines, organised a graduation for 15 students, produced and presented an outside broadcast at RMIT, did a wedding ceremony at CERES, created a course in broadcasting at JOY. Won a poker tournament. Went on the fantastic Blues Train at Queenscliff. Produced a sold out event at Darebin Music Feast yay!
2. Did you keep your new years' resolutions, and will you make more for next year?
I wanted adventures and less procrastination - mission accomplished. Next year I have one and that's to be present. So much of this year has passed me by with my head in the clouds. I guess I'm aiming to feel my feelings no matter how intense. That's a bit hippie isn't it. For concrete tick the box ones:
Learn how to use the ridiculously fancy camera I just bought on a whim and am a bit scared of
Finish my celebrancy course and get the damn piece of paper and put it out there as a job
Make a garden which is nice to sit in!
3. Did anyone close to you give birth?
Nope.
4. Did anyone close to you die?
Nope.
5. What countries did you visit?
Japan, Thailand, other bits of Australia.

A lasting romantic relationship would be GREAT.
7. What dates from 2008 will remain etched upon your memory, and why?
July 31st - Radio School graduation. By the end of it I had a migraine and do not remember how I got home but it went off without a hitch.
September 13. Darebin Music Feast. It went really well, and I signed in front of an audience for the first time in a few years. Scary but great.
Hmm, both of these things are related to event management freakouts.

Sure, I'm a crip. But it was all ok.

31. What did you do on your birthday, and how old were you?
I was 27, had dinner at a Japanese restauraunt, got very drunk, went to karaoke, went to the Peel, other things happened that I don't really remember, woke up and had champagne breakfast at lovely place on Bridge Road, went to the Nova and saw Into The Wild, went to dinner at Wesley Anne with a bunch of people, ended up at The Empress and went home extremely pissed and broken hearted over a stupid thing that happened. 39. Tell us a valuable life lesson you learned in 2008:
Things will fall into place regardless of how much you stress, as long as you're organised.
I am good at my job and should try and remember that.
Also, it is ok to spend a lot of money on footwear. It really is!
40. Quote a song lyric that sums up your year:
Megan from Don't Mess With The Pony wrote a song for me when I was in a particularly bad way, and it's very handy to have a recording of so whenever I feel shit I can listen to it and think "oh, I don't suck as much as I think I do!". If you want to listen to it go listen to Show Us The Way at their myspace it's just lovely. I think that's my 2008 song.
