Gah! Computers at work have been down all day, and now I'm stuck in Court while Judge Slow and a barrister go round in circles about a fairly minor point... Get the feeling I'm not gonna be out any time soon...

Incidentally, first update via my iPhone... This could be the start of a bad habit :)

Just think, due to time differences while you were stuck in court I was in bed.

Adam, we've talked about this. You need to be seen as a lovable pirate (we dropped the phrase "Salty Seadog" for obvious reasons) for your corporate image.

If you need to hate anybody, I get to hate them, purely for PR reasons.

Ash, I challenge you to a dual!

Has anyone as yet used the phrase "with the greatest of respect to my very learned friend..." which, as I am sure you are aware, is the other guy telling the judge that the barrister is talking boll0cks :)

All the time. Court is a education in new ways to politely call someone a fuckwit :D

I also get entertained when a barrister refers to a higher court advocate as just "my friend" as opposed to "my learned friend" and watching the solicitors shoot them barely-veiled evils :D

What about if they say "My Learned colleague?" Does that mean they're no longer buddies on facebook?

Well, either that or they no longer carpool.
