Major K turns 9 today. Celebrations so far have been restrained, since the birthday boy (geezer?) was Deeply Traumatized by visitors come to look at one of the foster kittens and tried to hide under a blanket someone was already lying on. It was very undignified, we probably shouldn't speak of it

Aww, happy birthday to the king of the roost! I'm sorry his birthday has been so traumatizing. Isn't it usually Minor who is traumatized for her birthday? (And every other day, ever?)

Yeah, Major doesn't generally care very much about visitors one way or the other (except if it's someone he knows) but this time he freaked out completely. Minor, on the other hand, couldn't even be bothered to leave the radiator. Today is upside down day, clearly.

Apparently the freaking out went on while we were downstairs in the kittens' room. I think my mother made it worse by laughing at him, poor baby.
