(no subject)
Mostly I spend my days keeping busy: working with my brother on the new side of Stick It Graphics, cleaning out cupboard after cupboard in my home, making closet space.. and so on. But today I'm fidgeting because it's the first of April and now the real count down starts. We still don't have an official date for his arrival because his passport hasn't been processed yet, so.. that'll come in eleven days or so. This is so much worse than waiting for Christmas as an eight-year-old. Oh lord.
But today my yard got revamped. All the weeds are gone out of the planters and there are wood chips down instead. I have an edger all around my lawn. And! And! A gorgeous magnolia tree just outside my dining room window. There's an orange tree in one corner and a pomegranate in the other as well. I'm stoked. For the first time since we moved in, I think, the backyard looks like somewhere I might want to hang out. Throw a blanket down and bask beneath the magnolia leaves. Siiiiigh.
But, because of this yard work, I haven't been able to leave the house today. I've cleaned it top to bottom.. and now am out of thing to do. There's always work, I guess.. and more job searching but, I must admit, my head is anywhere but where it should be these days.
I may look like I'm sitting down, but rest assured I'm jumping up and down, pigtails swinging, on the inside.
